B. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

a. ACADEMIC PUBLISHING CENTRE

1. Chief Editor (CONTISS 14):
i. Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication, Journalism, or it’s equivalent from a recognised institution with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division.
ii. NYSC Discharge or Exemption or Exclusion Certificate.
iii. SSCE/NECO/WASSCE/GCE O/L with credits in five (5) subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, is compulsory.
iv. Higher degree will be an added advantage.
v. In addition, MUST be a duly registered member of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism/Nigeria Institute of Public Relations.
vi. The candidate must have 20 years cognate experience in a recognised educational institution or its equivalent.
b. DIRECTORATE OF INTERNAL AUDIT

1. Chief Internal Auditor (CONTISS 14):
i. Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Finance, or it’s equivalent from a recognised institution with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division.
ii. NYSC Discharge or Exemption or Exclusion Certificate.
iii. SSCE/NECO/WASSCE/GCE O/L with credits in five (5) subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, is compulsory.
iv. Higher degree in will be an advantage.
v. In addition, MUST be a duly registered member of ICAN, ANAN or other equivalent professional bodies
vi. The candidate must have 17 years cognate experience in a recognised educational institution or its equivalent.
c. MEDICAL CENTRE

1. Chief Medical Officer (CONMESS 7):
i. Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), or it’s equivalent from a recognised institution with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division.
ii. NYSC Discharge or Exemption or Exclusion Certificate.
iii. SSCE/NECO/WASSCE/GCE O/L with credits in five (5) subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, is compulsory.
iv. Higher degree in relevant health discipline is mandatory or Fellowship of Medical Post Graduate College or equivalent.
v. In addition, MUST be duly registered with the Medical & Dental Council of Nigeria.
vi. The candidate must have 18 years cognate experience in a recognised educational institution or its equivalent.


2. Principal Medical Officer I (CONMESS 6):
i. Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), or it’s equivalent from a recognised institution with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division.
ii. NYSC Discharge or Exemption or Exclusion Certificate.
iii. SSCE/NECO/WASSCE/GCE O/L with credits in five (5) subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, is compulsory.
iv. Higher degree will be an advantage.
v. In addition, MUST be duly registered with the Medical & Dental Council of Nigeria.
vi. The candidate must have 14 years cognate experience in a recognised educational institution or its equivalent.

3. Chief Radiographer (CONTISS 14):
i. Bachelor of Radiography (B. Rad), or it’s equivalent from a recognised institution with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division.
ii. NYSC Discharge or Exemption or Exclusion Certificate.
iii. SSCE/NECO/WASSCE/GCE O/L with credits in five (5) subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, is compulsory.
iv. Higher degree will be an added advantage.
v. In addition, MUST be duly registered with the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN)
vi. The candidate must have 18 years cognate experience in a recognised educational institution or its equivalent.
d. STUDENT AFFAIRS DIVISION

1. Hospitality Manager (CONTISS 14):
i. Bachelor of Science in Hotel & Catering Management, Home Economics or Food Science/Technology, or it’s equivalent from a recognised institution with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division.
ii. NYSC Discharge or Exemption or Exclusion Certificate.
iii. SSCE/NECO/WASSCE/GCE O/L with credits in five (5) subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, is compulsory.
iv. Higher degree will be an added advantage.
v. The candidate must have 20 years cognate experience in a recognised educational institution or its equivalent.

e. WORKS AND PHYSICAL PLANNING DEPARTMENT
1. Chief Estate Officer (CONTISS 14):
i. Bachelor of Science in Estate Management, Facilities Management or Construction Management from a recognised institution with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division.
ii. NYSC Discharge or Exemption or Exclusion Certificate.
iii. SSCE/NECO/WASSCE/GCE O/L with credits in five (5) subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, is compulsory.
iv. Fellowship of professional body and higher degree will be an added advantage.
v. In addition, MUST be eligible for registration with the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV).
vi. The candidate must have 17 years cognate experience in a recognised educational institution or its equivalent.
2. Chief Quality Control Officer (CONTISS 14):
i. Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Biochemistry or Microbiology, or it’s equivalent from a recognised institution with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division.
ii. NYSC Discharge or Exemption or Exclusion Certificate.
iii. SSCE/NECO/WASSCE/GCE O/L with credits in five (5) subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, is compulsory.
iv. Fellowship of relevant professional body and higher degree will be an added advantage.
v. In addition, MUST be a duly registered member of the Institute of Public Analysts of Nigeria (IPAN).
vi. The candidate must have 17 years cognate experience in a recognised educational institution or its equivalent.


C. SALARIES
1. Positions on CONMESS 7 (Current national minimum wage will be applied) per annum
2. Positions on CONMESS 6 (Current national minimum wage will be applied) per annum
3. Positions on CONTISS 14 (Current national minimum wage will be applied) per annum
D. CONDITION OF SERVICE
As contained in the approved Regulations Governing the Conditions of Service of Senior/Junior Staff of the University of Lagos.

E. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Applicants MUST have SSCE/NECO/WASSCE/GCE O/L credits in five (5) subjects including Mathematics and English Language. In addition to academic and/or professional qualifications peculiar to each position, applicants MUST be ICT compliant. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for IT proficiency test (CBT) before interview.
